Blakely Hunze-Austin

LPC, (Therapist)

I enjoy working with high-functioning (“over-controlled”) clients who find themselves presenting “perfectly” on the outside but feeling overwhelmed internally. I take a compassionate, warm approach to evidenced-based therapy and enjoy working with clients who are anxious about trying therapy. I am passionate about helping clients realize how their coping strategies have been resilient and teaching them skills that will improve their quality of life. I work with teens and adults and am skilled in working with those struggling with addiction, trauma, perfectionism, and sexual dysfunction.

I have prior roles in working in a treatment center for adolescent males, DBT based practice, and I have experience working with eating disorder treatment. I obtained my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University and have a Bachelor’s degree concentrated in Forensic Anthropology from Middle Tennessee State University. I am an EMDRIA approved EMDR trained clinician and have training in Sensate Focused therapy.

When I am not working, I am running and adventuring in the woods. I enjoy quality time with my partner and dog, drinking too much coffee, and being outdoors.
